The Challenge Program is Back at CVHS!
Today, we kicked off the annual Challenge Program at Central Valley High School in partnership with our outstanding community partner, Shell Polymers!
As part of today’s kickoff, students were recognized and received $200 cash awards for their accomplishments in five categories:
🏆 Excellence Award
💪 Work Ethic Award
🔬 STEM Award
🤝 Community Service Award
📈 Improvement Award
Congratulations to our 2026-27 Challenge Program recipients: Seniors: Vallese Byers, Jarren Dohanich, Andrew Fay, Tarasa Householder, and Elyse Roberts
Juniors: Brenner Coombs, Pete Economos, Tessa Holzer, Ethan Ondrusek, and Myshawn Steals
These awards recognize students who demonstrate the qualities, character, and habits that contribute to success both in and outside of the classroom.
We are grateful to Shell Polymers for continuing to invest in our students and our school community. Throughout the year, Shell representatives will work alongside our teachers and students to introduce them to the many possibilities and opportunities that exist beyond high school—including careers, education, and pathways they may not have previously considered.
Programs like the Challenge Program are a great reminder that success comes in many forms and that strong community partnerships help our students see what is possible.
Congratulations to all of our recipients, and thank you to Shell Polymers for your continued partnership and commitment to CVHS!
One Community. One Tradition. One Valley. 💙
