For an 8th consecutive week, Beaver County finds itself within the substantial category with relation to the COVID health matrix. On a positive note, the county matrix numbers are trending down again this week (Incident Rate 287.1 and Percent Positivity 13.2%). For planning purposes, it is the intent of the district to remain fully virtual through the end of the first semester which ends on January 22, 2021. It is also the intent of the district to resume our hybrid model, allowing parent choice, to resume for elementary students on Monday, January 25, 2021, and secondary students on Tuesday, January 26, 2021, barring any major setback. The Board of Education will finalize this plan on the evening of the 21st at the regularly scheduled board meeting. Once again thank you for your patience, and we look forward to bringing back our students on the 25th and 26th.
