Letter from the Superintendent

Todd Lane Parents,

I hope this letter finds you well.  If you have been past Todd Lane Elementary this summer, you can see that construction activities have been full throttle since school dismissed in June.  Construction activities will continue up to and through the start of school when the students arrive on September 4, 2018.  While the project in its entirety will not be complete, we will be ready to accept staff and students for the start of school.  All 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade classrooms will be renovated and air-conditioned when we return.

The next two weeks will determine what other areas of the building may or may not be ready for the start of school.  Outside site work continues on a daily basis and will be at a place where traffic will be able to operate around the facility.

We are past the demolition stage on all parts of the building.  Unfinished work will occur behind barriers and away from staff and students.  We anticipate that the project should be substantially completed by the end of September to early October.

I will provide another correspondence as we get closer to opening day with more detail as to what will and will not be ready for the start of school as well as how traffic will flow for bus and parent drop off and pick up.

Thank you for your continued patience as construction winds down and the students can enjoy their newly renovated air-conditioned building.

The Education Improvement Tax Credit Program (EITC) enables companies who do business in Pennsylvania to support an authorized Education Improvement Organization (EIO) such as Central Valley Education Foundation.  Tax credits equal to 75 percent of its contribution up to a maximum of $750,000 per taxable year. Can be increased to 90 percent of the contribution, if business agrees to provide same amount for two consecutive tax years.  Consider supporting Central Valley School Districts "IPAD" Initiative through the EITC program unique to Pennsylvania businesses.
